Id buy another motor from them anytime even though they are a long way from my place. Apparently you need to replace the anode in the Suzuki every 12 months - anyone had any problems with these motors.

And Or could be the gas spilled down inside Cowling from working on the motor. At a touch over 1000 hours a balancer let-loose in one of the motors destroyed the oil pump which lead to power head failure. A common problem on these motors from the 20052007 era.

Suzuki 4-stroke engine holder problem - serious corrosion. Gents if you own a Suzuki 4 stroke DF 90-115-140 from 2001-2007 there is a galvanic corrosion issue that will cause a lot of damage if it hasnt already. The engine holder has a carbon steel plug in the exhaust port this plug is corroding from the inside out and will eventually blow out.
03-26-2015 0655 PM. Next time its running rough take the engine cowl off and see if it improves. If it does then check the port side of the engine holder just below the fresh water flushing connector near the trim switch you probably have to take the lower engine.
People who rent outboard for spending recreational times they dont even notice that the engine is still active at idle state. If you are looking for an outboard motor for commercial purposes your clients will be impressed with the Suzuki engine regarding the noise issue for sure. Its been flawless so far with about 100 hours on it. Its on an 83 Outrage 18. By the way the dealer Brinkman Marine in Vallejo has been top notch too.
