GW and Parkers are relatively stable in seas but you will be chine walking in a head sea at almost any speed. I love my 2004 Pathfinder TE w200 HPDI.

Sea hunt vs nautic star. I am in the same boat as you are. Been comparing the NS to the SH for about a month now. Have been leaning more towards the Sea Hunt just for buildfinish quality.
I think that Sea Hunt offers a few extra options that NS doesnt but the one thing about NS is the lifetime warranty and hardware replacement. However I am looking at the 24 instead. Thoughts Nautic Star 2200 or Sea Hunt BX22.
I have been window shopping and I think I might jump on a boat the next couple of months. I really like the sea hunts but Nautic star has a bigger Dealer network in my area. For both I am looking at getting the Yamaha 150 185.
I dont plan on much off shore mostly in shore near shore with a little. So made second trip to boat show today hoping to gain some clarity after reading some more online. Really now leaning more toward the Sea Hunt BX 22 BR and Nautic star 224 XTS mostly due to the length but so indecisive as they all have things I like better than the others.
Ive looked at Tidewater nautic star and sea pro. Many say sea hunt sea chaser sailfish cobia robalo etc. Any logical opinions on a good boatbuy for my purposes.

My partner that I own a camp with in grand isle has the 21 sea hunt and it rides really well in the open water. Im looking at a sea hunt or sportsman myself in the 24-25 range. I have a nautic star now and it has been a good boat for the last 8 years have fished it hard with no problems.

I bought mine used w 58 hours and paid for an extended warranty. They are not cheap. The non-TEs are 4000 cheaper.
Blue Wave seems to vary in opinion the most. Everything Ive read puts them on the exact same level as boats like Nautic Star and Blazer Bay. Then you get some people that say they are better and some that say they are terrible.
On the OPs list Id probably rank them. 1 Pathfinder 2a Blue Wave 2b Nautic Star. I know its light weight and not built like a top tier boat but it seemed better than the sea hunts to me which are in the same price point.
Does anyone on this forum own a nauticstar 22 OS. What are the general opinions based on real experience with this brand. All in all its apx 2200lbs vs 2700lbs for a sea hunt and does 57mph with a 250 yamaha vs a sea hunt with a 300 at 57mph–yet its much stronger due to the construction I described.

Gotcha they were high on my list as well Scratch Blazer. Im pretty sure Sea Hunt had those seats. Also look at Frontier as they are similar in price and quality to the Nautic Stars and have a good reputation.
Having said that Im with you on the Nautic Star over the others. It was close between the Nautic Star and Blue Wave when I bought mine. I would put these at the top of my list for build quality.
A few others to look at would be sea hunt scout. Both make good boats and the sea hunts makes some good hybridbetween boats. For a really well built hybrid boat also look into the Parker SE.
If you could find a 23 pathfinder you like I know I would be happy with it. Both the GW and the Parker have alot more glass in them. GW and Parkers are relatively stable in seas but you will be chine walking in a head sea at almost any speed.
Depending on what you want out of the boat you may want to look at Albemarles and Regulators. Both are much better rides than Sea Pros GWs and Parkers. Both are great boats and well built.
I cross shopped TW KW SH and even Nautic Star when I bought my 196. They are all built to roughly the same level. Each has pros and cons.
For me the TW was the best deal the dealer was good to work with and I. The price is very competitive with both Sea Hunt and Sportsman which are both local boats. Granted Cobia is a Florida boat they tend to hold their value fairly well.
I also recently got the chance to drive the cobia 237 in rougher conditions and I was impressed. The boat looks very comparable to the Sea Hunt 225 but a little pricier.
