Good morning fellow Kia owners. A low level of power steering fluid is the number one cause of a steering wheel being hard to turn. While refilling the power steering reservoir with fluid will temporarily fix the problem the root cause of the disappearing power steering fluid will need to be found.
There is a good chance that a pressurized hose could be loose or cracked. You might have better luck on the RR forums but to set you off in the right direction notchy steering is typically caused by insufficient steering fluid causing an air bubble or a leak in the system. Keep in mind that leaks can be internal so while you may not see any fluid pouring out you also may not be getting any pressure in.
